SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT Re CLASS 654 An Essay on a George Eliot related Topic

This year THE GEORGE ELIOT FELLOWSHIP is donating some special prizes of cash and Folio Editions of Mill on the Floss and have agreed to judge this competition.

The Fellowship wishes to encourage entries which would be of interest to a general readership. Suggestions are:

  • How you came to enjoy George Eliot's novels

  • Which is your favourite

  • How you have pursued your interest in her and her works

  • Students who took part in the 2009 production of Adam Bede could describe that particular experience

There is a scope for a wide variety of essays and with generous prizes on offer, the Festival of Arts and The George Eliot Fellowship hope to inspire writers of all ages to enter

Entries together with entry forms and fees to be sent to the section secretary as detailed above
