Mr Anthony Williams who adjudicated last years competition has agreed to take his place | | Adjudicator: Mr Anthony Williams M.Mus., Dip. RAM, GRSM, LRAM Born in Essex Anthony Williams studied at the Royal Academy of Music with Alexander Kelly and following successes in several international competitions has since given recitals, broadcasts and concert appearances around the world. He is also an experienced accompanist, performing with soloists such as Peter Cropper and Ann Murray. As a piano teacher Anthony has established an international reputation, his pupils achieving notable competition success (including a concerto finalist in the BBC Young Musician) and many going on become professional musicians. Having taught at the Royal Academy of Music and Reading University Anthony is now based full time at Radley College as Head of Keyboard and Instrumental Studies combining this with a busy freelance career. He has written numerous articles and books on piano teaching and regularly presents lecture-recitals and seminars on repertoires and the art of teaching, most recently on piano performance and repertoire to teachers and students throughout the UK (including the RCM), SE Asia and China. Anthony is an Associate Board Examiner (both Jazz and classical), Trainer and Moderator, a Piano Mentor on the CT ABRSM course and a former course tutor on the Mtpp (Reading) course. He is an experienced and busy adjudicator and President of Chipping Norton Music Festival |
