Adjudicator: Hammond Smith Hammond Smith studied Fine Art and Architecture at Cambridge, followed by research on Ford Madox Brown at the Courtauld Inst. of Art. He has helped to organise exhibitions on Peter DeWint (at Fitzwilliam Museum and Stoke Museum and Art Gallery) and Albert Goodwin (at Bolton Museum and Art gallery). He has also published monographs on these artists. After many years as an academic, he now works as a Fine Art dealer specialising in British Watercolours 1750-1950, though he is currently getting more involved in the contemporary art scene and has recently acquired a Damien Hirst! |
