This is another of the performing arts sections. The section gives dancers of various styles the opportunity to perform on stage and receive a professional adjudication. Dancers can perform on their own or as part of a group.

2026 Stage Dancing Adjudicator
Catherine Ingram is a dedicated dance and theatre arts teaching professional with over 35 years of experience as principal of a large dance and drama school. Throughout her career, she has made significant contributions to the field, nurturing countless students, and launching their successful careers in the performing arts industry. Notably, she co-founded the Boys Ballet Initiative in Portsmouth, Hampshire, furthering her commitment to fostering inclusivity and excellence in dance education.
Currently, Catherine is conducting innovative PhD research at Canterbury Christ Church University, delving into the pedagogy and practice of teaching classical ballet to young children in the recreational sector. Catherine also holds a First-Class Master’s Degree in Dance Technique Pedagogy from Middlesex University where her research focused on exploring the secondary elements acquired through the study of classical ballet at recreational level.
Catherine is a BIFF registered adjudicator and has achieved Imperial Ballet Fellowship status within the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) and currently teaches the ISTD DDE and Licentiate Imperial Ballet. Continuously expanding her knowledge, Catherine has delved into disciplines such as Applied Anatomy and Physiology in Relation to Dance, as well as the History and Development of Western Dance.
Catherine now balances her time between adjudicating at festivals, teaching and continuing her research. She Is very pleased to be adjudicating at Nuneaton Festival and looks forward to seeing the children and young people perform.

Trophies and awards
Please let the secretary know if you are eligible for the following:
Hart and Levy Award is open to competitors living within a 10 mile radius of Nuneaton. Competitors MUST perform a ballet solo and MUST be 13 Years and over.
Tinhatters Award is open to competitors living within a 10 mile radius of Nuneaton. This award is open to solo competitors of any age and any discipline other than ballet.
Any Trophies MUST be returned NO LATER than 1st May following their award.
